Why a fixed "best Endless team" list doesn't work here
Endless Mode has no win condition — the goal is to survive as many waves as possible, with difficulty ramping up over time. But there's a mechanic that breaks most "best team" advice before it's even published: every week, a randomly selected set of units gets banned — 5 Godly units and 9 Exclusive units. Whatever a guide names as the top pick this week could be unusable next week. This page focuses on how to build a resilient strategy instead of naming units that will rotate out of relevance.
Confirmed mechanics
- Weekly leaderboard: top 50 earn a Glass-quality unit, top 3 earn Bronze/Silver/Gold-quality units, with exact rewards varying by map.
- Seeds (or Gems on the Space map) are earned every round, scaling up with how far you get — rewards cap out past round 1000.
- 10 maps span a difficulty range from Easy (Garden) up through Apocalypse (Aqua), including Enchanted Jungle, Tropical Island, Toxic Facility, Graveyard, Back Garden, Dojo, Winter Wonderland, and Space.
What to do about the weekly ban rotation
Since 5 Godly and 9 Exclusive units are banned on a rotating weekly basis, the practical strategy is to build a deep bench across multiple roles (single-target DPS, AoE clear) rather than depending on one specific unit surviving the ban list. Check this week's actual ban list in-game before committing to a plan.
Second source: a tested creator confirms the reward system changed
We checked "Endless Mode Is Actually Worth Playing Now… Garden Tower Defense 1.41" by RDO (19,000 views, published ~May 2026) to see whether Endless's reward structure matches what the wiki currently describes.
In the video, the creator walks through how the reward system used to pay out Seeds only once every 10 waves, with the per-10-wave amount stepping up as you got further (roughly 50, then 70, then 100, then 120 Seeds per 10-wave block). He says the game has since switched to paying out "per wave with scaling depending on the map," and gives Garden as a worked example: about 40 Seeds/wave after wave 21, climbing to around 100 Seeds/wave after wave 1,001.
This confirms, from a tested creator's own gameplay, that Endless Mode's reward pacing has been reworked from a per-10-waves payout to a per-wave payout, and that reward rates scale per map. This supports the wiki's own note that rewards "reach their maximum past round 1000," with a concrete number for one map (Garden: ~100 Seeds/wave past wave 1,001).
Unconfirmed
- The exact 14 units banned in the current week (as of 2026-09-13) — this changes weekly and needs an in-game or official Discord check, which wasn't done this pass since it would only be accurate for a few days.
- Per-wave reward numbers for maps other than Garden — the video only gave a worked example for that one map.
