The core loop: Classic Mode
Classic Mode is described by the game's own wiki as "the classic way to farm Seeds" — it's where you'll spend most of early game. It has 5+ maps (Garden, Enchanted Jungle, Tropical Island, Toxic Facility, Back Garden, plus Graveyard and Dojo), each with 4–6 difficulty levels running from 20 up to 50 waves. Higher difficulty means more waves but a bigger Seeds payout, and some difficulty tiers have a small chance of dropping a bonus unit on top of Seeds.
Your starting crate: Classic Summon
Everything you can afford early comes from the Classic Summon (100 Seeds for one pull, 900 for ten). Its odds by rarity:
| Rarity | Chance |
|---|---|
| Common | 20% |
| Uncommon | 15–17% |
| Rare | 10–11% |
| Legendary | 4–5% |
| Legendary/Mythical (high end) | 0.99–1% |
| Godly | 0.01% |
18 units are obtainable from it, spanning Common all the way up to one Godly unit (Bloodvine).
Units you'll likely pull early
- Farmer (Uncommon, 15–17% pull chance) — DPS 8 → 102, costs only 200 to place. Cheap enough to field several right away.
- Sunflower (Legendary, 0.99% pull chance) — DPS 32 → 397. Rare for a starter crate, but worth keeping if you get it.
- Money Tree (Rare, 11% pull chance) — doesn't fight; it's a dedicated income unit that generates +20 to +65 Seeds on a 5-to-3-second interval as you upgrade it.
Concepts worth understanding early
- Rarity has 7 tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Godly, Exclusive — higher isn't automatically better in every stat, just rarer to obtain.
- Every unit has a Placement Cost and a Placement Limit — how much it costs to place, and how many copies you can field at once. Plan your Seeds spending around both.
- Cost Efficiency (DPS per 1000 spent) is a stat the wiki tracks per unit — use it to compare value, not just raw DPS.
- Don't chase units you see praised online without checking "Currently Obtainable" first. Several heavily-recommended units (Golem, Astraflora, Seedmill) are no longer available — see Best Units for details.
Modes to try once you're past the basics
- PvP — 1v1 matches with a 60-second ban phase (Timekeeper is banned by default in every match) and a 5-unit pick. See Best PvP Team.
- Endless — survive as many waves as possible on a weekly leaderboard, but 5 Godly and 9 Exclusive units get randomly banned each week. See Best Endless Strategy.
Unconfirmed
- A specific hour-by-hour or day-by-day early progression plan — no official tutorial or verified creator walkthrough was found, so this guide sticks to confirmed mechanics rather than inventing a step-by-step schedule.
